Gentle Fall Cleanse - It's Vata Season!

In the Fall, the earth is cooling down from the heat of summer, the wind starts to swirl and the leaves turn to deep rich colors, then the trees "let go" of their leaves and prepare for a new cycle. Our bodies mimic nature, expelling the heat of summer, we notice the dryness of our skin, a change in appetite and the need for layers.
Ayurveda understood the need for a gentle fall cleanse to remove the excess heat of summer and to support the digestion with warming and grounding foods. This is the time to move to a diet of more soups and stews to create a grounding and nurturing environment for our mind, body and soul. We will utilize recipes with the foods nature provides in the late summer to fall and into the winter.

Cost: $100 (Includes your cleansing kit and spices for the week to cleanse)
Week 1 – 10/23/21
Purify. Purification for the digestive system and cleansing the mind. We will prepare for our 5 - 7 day Kitchari cleanse. This gentle cleanse is a mono diet of lentils, basmati rice, ghee, spices and veggies. We will prepare spice mixes (churnas), teas and Abhyanga oils based on your dosha (imbalance). We will discuss the hot water routine, journal on thoughtful insights and focus on meditation. Learn more about your “self” and those around you taking the dosha quiz.
During the week between the workshops you will practice the purification cleanse. You will be supported through the week through group conversation, videos and one on one discussions.
Week 2 – 10/30/21
Nourish. Learn how to re-introduce Sattvic, high energy, clean foods into your routine. We will discuss intuitive eating methods, the six tastes and eating with the senses. You will be provided with recipes for the season, a seasonal food list, bulk foods and spice pantry list.
